Hi Folks, After 36 years in the IT industry, I have retired (almost) and taken up the craft of making quality furniture and have set up this site to chronicle and share my experiences.

Louis XV Chess Table

This is the advanced project at L’Ècole et l’Àtelier d’Ébénisterie.  You can see the finished project on a more recent post.
It is made of black walnut.  Here are some pics showing how it is constructed …

Pine Sofa Table

Our friends have a very nice home in the country.  They wanted a sofa table … here is
the result …  
It is made of solid pine, 53 inches long, 16 inches wide by 25 inches high.  Mortise & tenon joinery for the frame and dove tails for the drawers
Finished with a walnut stain and many coats of wiping varnish.
